Rev. Koshin Ogui

Rev. Koshin Ogui was born in Saga Prefecture, Japan.  He attended Ryukoku University in Kyoto and graduated in 1962. 

After graduating from Ryukoku University, Ogui Sensei began his career as a minister in the U.S. and served at several Buddhist Temples for 53 years which included Los Angeles, Oxnard, San Francisco, Cleveland, and Chicago.  He initiated Zen Shin Meditation while serving in Cleveland and Chicago. 

In 2004-2012, he served as the Bishop of Buddhist Churches of America for 2 terms.  He now serves at White River Buddhist Temple as a retired full time minister with his lovely wife, Mayumi.
